Ms. Kleiner was appointed as the Administrative Services Director in May of 2019. The Administrative Services Division consists of Information Technology, Risk Management, Human Resources, GIS, Assessing and Purchasing. Kim Kleiner brings over 30 years of managerial experience both municipal and private industry. Prior to the new role, Ms. Kleiner served as Mayor Donchess’ Chief of Staff for over three years and served on the Nashua Board of Education from 2011-2015, serving as Clerk and Budget Chair for two years.
Prior to joining the city, Ms. Kleiner was employed by General Cable Industries as the Senior Accountant. Her responsibilities included financial and labor efficiency reporting, inventory management, material usage, waste recovery and analysis, fixed asset management, capital projects, developing process improvement plans and annual budgeting. In addition she has experience in union negotiations, payroll, benefits and employee programs at the corporate level.
Ms. Kleiner has served as the mayor’s lead developing Nashua’s My Brother’s Keeper strategic plan which worked with City agencies and non-profits to identify opportunities and programs to ensure that all young people can achieve their full potential. In October of 2017, she was recognized by Mayor Donchess for her leadership working to establish Nashua’s first community center, the Arlington Street Community Center.
Ms. Kleiner has been an active member of the NH Diversity and Cultural Competency Trainers Circle and received certification as a trainer from the NH State Office of Equity in 2018. In addition, she is a member of the Rotary of Nashua West and served for two years as co-chair of the League of Women Voters, Nashua chapter.
Ms. Kleiner graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Accounting from Franklin Pierce in 1991 and received Lean Sigma certification as a Lean Technician at General Cable Industries.
