The United States (U.S.) National Weather Service extended its heat advisory in Eastern Hillsborough and Interior Rockingham Counties through 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
Due to the extended extreme heat, the following public locations will be open tomorrow as cooling centers for community members to find relief from the high temperatures. Please note that the times listed below are official cooling center hours, not necessarily business hours. Nashua Transit System continues to provide free transportation to these locations while the heat advisory is in effect, individuals just need to tell the driver they are headed to a cooling center.
- Nashua YMCA (24 Stadium Drive, Nashua NH 03062)
- Nashua Public Library (2 Court Street, Nashua, NH 03060)
- Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter (2 Quincy Street, Nashua, NH 03060)
- Pheasant Lane Mall (310 Daniel Webster Highway, Nashua, NH 03060)
- Nashua Senior Activity Center (70 Temple Street, Nashua, NH 03060)
City of Nashua Pools are also open from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. tomorrow for heat relief.

- Greeley Park Wading Pool - Concord Street
- Splash Pad - National Street
We continue to encourage individuals to take precautions as the extreme heat prolongs. Stay hydrated, spend time in air-conditioning, and check on loved ones, especially if they are high risk. If you or someone around you is experiencing heat stroke, call 9-1-1 and move to a shaded area.
