[ARCHIVED] Holiday Schedule for Trash and Recycling Pickup in Nashua

The Solid Waste Department will follow the normal schedule for the Monday routes during Christmas week.  However, the Four Hills Landfill / Nashua Recycling Center will be closed on Tuesday, December 25 and there will be no curbside pickups on that day.  Normal operations will resume on Wednesday, Dec. 26, and all collections will be one day late during the rest of the week.  Tuesday neighborhoods will be collected on Wednesday and the Wednesday areas will be picked up on Thursday, Dec. 27.  Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, Dec. 28 and the Friday areas will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 29.

The same schedule will be implemented during the week of New Years.

All containers must be at curbside by 6:45 a.m. on collection day, and there must be at least three feet between the trash cart and anything else.  Excess holiday trash in bags will be picked up during the week after Christmas; bags must be placed at least three feet from the trash cart and cannot include bulky items or household cleanouts.  The extra trash pickup will run from Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Monday, Dec. 31.

Gift boxes and corrugated cardboard boxes may be flattened and recycled.  Residents may call the Solid Waste Department office at 589-3410 with any questions about the holiday schedule.
