City of Nashua Seeks Online Community Feedback for New Hazard Mitigation & Community Resilience Plan

In addition to many in-person workshops and events held since February, Nashua is launching an interactive project website on the crowdsourcing platform coUrbanize. Planners will post updates throughout the planning process, and will respond directly to comments and ideas from community members.

The City of Nashua has been working with community stakeholders throughout 2018 to develop a comprehensive Resilient Nashua Initiative. The Resilient Nashua Initiative's main purpose is to identify acute shocks and chronic stressors impacting the City of Nashua, now and in the future, and collaboratively find solutions to address these complex issues. The Initiative is focused on completing the City's five-year update to the FEMA-required Hazard Mitigation Plan as well as developing a new Community Resilience Strategy. The Initiative has included a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the year, ranging from community planning officials, to emergency responders, to non-profit leaders.
