[ARCHIVED] Solid Waste Holiday Schedule for Thanksgiving Week

The Solid Waste Department has announced the collection schedule during THANKSGIVING week.  The normal pickups of recyclables, trash and soft yard wastes will occur from Monday, Nov. 19th through Wednesday, Nov. 21st.  On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22nd, the Four Hills Landfill will be closed, and there will be no curbside collections on that day.  Thursday’s routes will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 23rd, and Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 24th.

The curbside collection of Soft Yard Wastes will continue through the week ending Friday, Dec. 7th, unless there is a significant snowstorm beforehand.

In anticipation of high volumes of soft yard wastes, the Four Hills Landfill / Nashua Recycling Center will be open extended hours for residents on Saturdays Nov. 18th and 25th.  On those days, the scale will close down at 12:45 pm, and ONLY RESIDENTIAL soft yard wastes, trash and recycling will be accepted until 4 pm.  No construction & demolition debris and no commercial waste will be accepted.  Residents with questions may call 589-3410.
