The curbside collection of Soft Yard Wastes will continue through the week ending Friday, Dec. 7, weather permitting. The Solid Waste Department will follow the normal curbside collection schedule during the week of Monday, Nov. 12 to Friday, Nov. 16. However, the Four Hills Landfill / Nashua Recycling Center and the office of the Solid Waste Department will be closed on Monday, Nov. 12 to commemorate Veterans Day. The facility will reopen on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
During THANKSGIVING week, the normal schedule will be followed from Monday, Nov. 19 through Wednesday, Nov. 21. On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 22, the Four Hills Landfill will be closed, and there will be no curbside collections that day. Thursday’s routes will be picked up on Friday, Nov. 23, and Friday’s routes will be collected on Saturday, Nov. 24.
In anticipation of high volumes of soft yard wastes, the Four Hills Landfill / Nashua Recycling Center will be open extended hours for residents on Saturdays Nov. 3, 10, 17 and 24. On those days, the scale will close down at 12:45 pm, and ONLY RESIDENTIAL soft yard wastes, trash and recycling will be accepted until 4 pm. No construction & demolition debris and no commercial waste will be accepted. Residents with questions may call 589-3410.
