East Hollis St will be closed for the reconstruction of the railroad crossing at the intersection of East Hollis St and Temple St starting on Saturday, Oct. 28th at 7:00 a.m. and ending (reopening) on Sunday, Oct. 29th at 7:00 p.m. Eastbound (to Hudson) traffic will be detoured at Arlington St to Crown St and then onto Hobbs Ave. An alternative route especially for trucks is Spruce St onto Temple St. Westbound (from Hudson) will be detoured by making a right turn at Temple St near the Temple St. Diner. This high priority is overdue and is necessary to bring the railroad crossing to federal railroad safety standards.
