The Nashua Solid Waste Department’s special collections for oversized items will end for this season on Friday, Oct. 28, and will resume in April 2017. Appointments for the last collection week must be received by 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 21. Residents may continue to bring oversized items directly to the Four Hills Landfill at 840 West Hollis Street during normal operating hours, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. A residential permit is required to use the facility. Examples of oversized items include mattresses, furniture, and refrigerators.
The curbside collection of Soft Yard Wastes will continue through the week ending November 26, weather permitting.
