September is National Recovery Month
The Mayor's Opioid Task Force, formed by the Mayor, in response to the opioid crisis has been working on developing strategies to address factors that contribute to substance misuse and abuse. Dr. Cynthia Whitaker of the Greater Nashua Mental Health Center developed a presentation for providers and families to understand what happens to the brain when addiction occurs. Dr. Whitaker's presentation is running on Access Nashua this month. Dr. Whitaker will be available on Monday, September 26th at the Nashua Library to discuss the "Addicted Brain" at 7:00 PM.
