[ARCHIVED] Nashua Public Health Provides STD/HIV/HCV Services at Lamprey Health Care

Access to services for Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD), Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), and Hepatitis C (HCV) have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Amidst the closing of clinics throughout the state, the Nashua Division of Public Health and Community Services (DPHCS), along with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), encourage people who are sexually active, or planning to be, to get tested because it is the only way to know for sure if you or someone else has an STD, HIV, or HCV.

In addition to weekly mobile outreach clinics, the Nashua DPHCS is partnering with Lamprey Health Care to provide STD/HIV/HCV testing, counseling, and referral to services at 22 Prospect Street in Nashua from 5 to 7 p.m. every Thursday. Clinics will be held at this temporary location until further notice while the Nashua DPHCS building undergoes renovation.

“Getting tested is an important step you can take to protect the health of you and your partner. As Chief Public Health Strategists, we are pleased to be able to expand testing to the Greater Nashua community because it provides the opportunity for early diagnosis and treatment, ultimately allowing individuals to live healthy lives while reducing risk of sexually transmitting infections to others.” stated Kim Bernard, Chief Public Health Nurse at the Nashua DPHCS.

Services for the following are conducted at this clinic:

  • Hepatitis C
  • Herpes
  • HIV (Rapid)
  • Syphilis (RPR/TPPA)

Testing fees are based on a set of criteria, no one will be turned away due to inability to pay. We are also offering the following immunizations at this clinic: Flu (during flu season), Hepatitis A & B, and HPV. Testing at this location is by appointment only. Register for an appointment at: bit.ly/STD-HIV-HCV-Clinic.

“Lamprey Health Care looks forward to welcoming Nashua DPHCS to our facility. During this pandemic, everyone has had to be resourceful, and we recognized the collaboration of our two organizations would ensure the delivery of a much-needed service to our community. Working with the folks from Nashua DPHCS to develop this plan has been a pleasure.” stated Francine DeSalvo, Site Administrator at Lamprey Health Care.

In addition, the Nashua DPHCS also offers STD/HIV/HCV services through mobile outreach on:

  • Wednesdays, 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., Nashua Public Library Front Plaza (2 Court St., Nashua)
  • First and Third Friday of the month, 1:30 - 3:30 p.m, Laton House (28 Railroad Sq., Nashua)
