[ARCHIVED] Holiday Schedule for Trash & Recycling Week of 12/28

The Solid Waste Department will follow the normal schedule for the curbside collection of recycling and trash from Monday, December 28th through Thursday the 31st.  The Solid Waste Department will be closed on Friday January 1st for New Years, and there will be no curbside collections on that day.  Normal operations will resume on Saturday January 2nd, when the Friday routes will be picked up at curbside.

Please place all containers at curbside by 6:45 am on your collection day.  Put all trash in garbage bags and tie off the bags, before putting them into the cart.  Please keep at least 3 feet between the trash cart and anything else.  Carts must also be at least 10 feet away from vehicles parked at curbside.

During the winter snow season, please make sure to clear snow and ice from an area at curbside for carts and recycling bins whenever necessary.  And remember, containers placed on top of or behind snow banks will not be picked up.  Please be mindful of snowplowing efforts and remove anything at curbside that might interfere with plowing streets, such as portable basketball hoops.  Residents may always bring trash to the landfill under a valid residential permit; a permit costs $5 per vehicle for the year.

Thank you and Happy Holidays from the Solid Waste Department.
