New Hampshire Gov. Sununu announced that the state’s Stay At Home 2.0 order expired on Monday, June 15. In the wake of this, Nashua Mayor Jim Donchess and city leaders continue to actively monitor and respond to the virus that causes COVID-19 in our community and want to remind residents that Most City Hall offices remain closed to the public. The health and safety of Nashua residents and city employees is of the utmost importance and Nashua city officials thank everyone for their patience and understanding during this time.
Essential city services continue to be available, just as they have been for the past few months. The city can still serve you online, via regular mail (for certain services), via drop box, as well as by phone and email. City employees continue to work remotely and in limited numbers onsite to serve the community. Nashua’s Parks and Recreation Department, City Clerk and Motor Vehicle have updated their services to reflect the onset of summer and relaxation of state COVID-19 guidelines.

Nashua Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce its revised Summer Camp lineup, including:

Refunds will be made for camps that are canceled due to insufficient registrations. New guidelines will be followed to keep our campers and counselors safe and healthy.
Playgrounds will reopen starting Monday, June 15. We ask that our families and residents follow guidelines while using playground facilities:
- Wash Your Hands Frequently
- Maintain Social Distance (six feet between yourself and others)
- Avoid Large Gatherings
- Consider Wearing a Face Covering
- Stay Home if You Feel Sick
City athletic fields are now open with restrictions:
- Maximum 10 people – 9 players to 1 coach ratio
- Practice only – no games
- Reservations required thru Nashua Park and Recreation
Other recreational areas that are now open with restrictions:
- Basketball Courts – 4 people per court limit
- Skate Park – 10 people at a time for a maximum of 1 hour to give others a chance to utilize the space
- Horseshoe Pits – every other pit will be open
- Pickle Ball Courts and Tennis Courts now open
DIVISION OF PUBLIC HEALTH AND COMMUNITY SERVICES:
The Nashua Division of Public of Health and Community Services continues to remain closed to public access and is limiting operations until further notice to focus efforts on the COVID-19 response and ensure the health and well-being of the Greater Nashua Public Health Region. They continue to strongly recommend that individuals only leave their home for essential needs. If you choose to leave your home for essential or non-essential activities, please remember that our community is still facing a public health crisis and consider practicing the following healthy behaviors to keep yourself, your family and your community safe.
- Practice social distancing by avoiding large crowds and maintaining a distance of at least six feet from others who do not live in your household.
- If you are sick, stay home and avoid close contact with others, including members of your household.
- Wear a face covering to protect others from your respiratory droplets in situations where you are unable to maintain a distance of six feet from others.
- Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds, including before, during, and after you return from your trip. If possible, bring alcohol-based hand rub to use when you do not have access to running water and soap.
- Cover your mouth and nose if you cough or sneeze, by coughing and sneezing into your forearm.
- Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces often and allow them to air dry. If possible, pack disinfecting wipes to clean and disinfect objects and surfaces if you leave your home.
The Nashua Division of Public Health and Community Services also continues to answer any health-related questions seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. through the Nashua COVID-19 Hotline. MOTOR VEHICLE DEPARTMENT:
The Motor Vehicle Registration Office will continue to offer online, mail-in, email and drop-off services. If you have purchased a new vehicle, visit www.nashuanh.gov/404/Motor-Vehicle-Registration for information on how to complete your registration. For questions, it is highly recommended that you email, as call volume is high. Send questions to firstname.lastname@example.org. To renew your vehicle registration, use the online system or send via regular mail. Here is additional information from the city website (https://www.nashuanh.gov/) which may assist you:
Renewal of a car registration: Can be made in one of two ways: (1) online via our website portal
(https://www.nashuanh.gov/paybills); (2) via mail (checks only and post dates will be honored as the date of payment with envelope provided by the city).
Registration and title transfers of newly purchased vehicle: The state has ended all special extensions for temporary plates. Residents who need new plates or need to transfer plates will need to provide the information listed below.
1. The Original Title, Certificate of Origin or NH Title Application.
2. The original registration of your prior vehicle if you have plates that you want to transfer.
3. A detailed statement asking us to register remotely (must include your contact information).
4. Color of vehicle
5. A copy of your bill of sale or purchase contract (if financing this information must be included).
6. A copy of your driver’s license, front and back.
7. If you are relocating from out of state and you are financing, we will also need a copy of your current registration.

Temporary Plates: If you purchased a vehicle through a private sale or an out-of-state dealer and want a 20-day temporary plate, call the State of NH DMV at 227-4000.
Boat Registration of new boats: Provide the information below and place in the drop off box slot or mail as described above. Renewal of boats can be done by the State with the form you received in the mail or by the city with an additional $5 fee. For a new boat, provide a detailed bill of sale and a copy of your NH license.
Payment of Parking Tickets, Tax and Sewer (wastewater) payments and Lease parking payments: Pay online at https://www.nashuanh.gov/paybills, via regular mail (checks only and post-dates will be honored as the date of payment with envelope provided by the city) or through the City Hall dropbox slot. Mail the bottom portion of your tax bill with your payment in order to insure payment is applied to the correct account. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you need a paid receipt, a canceled check or mortgage statement will also suffice as a receipt for federal tax purposes. Do not mail cash. Citizens may email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call us at 589-3190 for tax questions.
Overall Forms of Payment: Make checks payable to the City of Nashua-MVR and leave the amount blank. Date and sign your check. You can also send a copy of your credit or debit card, front and back. If you want the total amount owed prior to completing the transaction include that request in your written statement or you can just request a receipt to be included with your completed paperwork.

Voter Registration and Absentee Ballots: Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the NH Secretary of State and Attorney General have determined that all citizens of New Hampshire can register to vote absentee and/or vote by absentee ballot at the upcoming fall elections. Forms to register to vote absentee and requests for absentee ballots may be made by mail, email, fax or hand-delivered in the City Hall drop-box.
