The next regional collection event for Household Hazardous Waste will take place in Pelham New Hampshire on Saturday August 24, 2019 from 8 am to noon, in the back parking lot of the Pelham Municipal Building at 6 Village Green. Residents of Nashua and the other District communities are eligible to attend; District communities include Amherst, Brookline, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Merrimack, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, Pelham, and Windham. Participants may bring up to 10 gallons or 20 pounds of hazardous waste, such as pesticides, pool chemicals, muriatic acid, old or contaminated gasoline, lead and oil-based paint, thinners, lithium batteries, and photo chemicals. No latex paints or waste oil are accepted. There is a $15 fee per vehicle.
