The Division of Public Works, Solid Waste Department will be closed on Monday May 30, 2016, in observance of Memorial Day. The Four Hills Landfill / Nashua Recycling Center will be closed that day and there will be no collections at curbside. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, May 31, when the Monday routes will be picked up. Tuesday’s routes will be picked up on Wednesday, June 1; Wednesday routes will be picked up Thursday, June 2; and Thursday’s pickups will occur on Friday, June 3. Friday’s neighborhoods will be collected on Saturday, June 4, 2016.
Residents must place all trash in garbage bags before putting the bags in the
cart. Carts must be kept at least three feet from any obstacle, such as a
mailbox, and at least ten feet away from vehicles parked at curbside. All
containers must be at curbside by 6:45 a.m. on collection day.
The next collection for Household Hazardous Wastes will take place on Thursday afternoon June 2, 2016, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Street Department Garage on Stadium Drive, near Stellos Stadium and the YMCA.
