Authority Description

The Nashua Housing  and Redevelopment Authority is governed by a five-member Board of Commissioners, one of whom is a housing authority resident. The Mayor of Nashua appoints the board members to a five-year term. The Commissioners serve without compensation, but are entitled to reimbursement of expenses incurred during official Authority business. The day-to-day management of the Authority is vested in the Executive Director selected by the Board of Commissioners. The Board of Commissioners is responsible for approving the agency's annual budget and to determine and interpret the policies that govern the Authority, subject to the mandates and the limits imposed by State and Federal law. Regular Board meetings are held on the third Friday of the month at 8:30 a.m. The meeting location is the Housing Authority’s office located at 40 East Pearl St., Nashua, NH. Agendas are normally published at City Hall a week prior.
