  • 1st Thursday of the month (1st Thursday of the month beginning January, 2023)
The meetings are open to the public, but appointments are required to address the Board and may easily be made by calling the Assessing Office at 603-589-3040 or by sending an email to Assessing Department Email.  Please be advised the appointment must be requested at least two weeks in advance of the meeting.  Four copies of any material for the Board to review prior to the meeting must be submitted to the Assessing Department by noon on the Friday before the meeting.

Board Description

The Board of Assessors is empowered by the City Charter and guided by State Statutes, Department of Revenue Administrative Rules and local legislation.


The Board is ultimately responsible for all assessments in the City of Nashua and must review all applications for abatement.


The Board of Assessors shall assess all taxable property in the City in accordance with general law and such administrative regulations as may be promulgated pursuant thereto, to maintain a standard system of assessment records, and to perform such other duties as the Board of Aldermen may prescribe by ordinance.
