The City of Nashua Environmental Health Department oversees the collection of mosquitoes that are analyzed for Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), West Nile Virus (WNV), and Jamestown Canyon Virus (JCV).
If sufficient information indicates a significant public health threat to Nashua, there is a permit in place to conduct emergency spraying and public notices will be posted. Please refer to the Prevention Tips for Mosquitos (PDF) document for more information and for New Hampshire locations where positive samples have been collected.
