Control & Surveillance Program
The Nashua Environmental Health Department’s mosquito control and surveillance program oversees the collection of mosquitoes that are analyzed for
Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) and
West Nile Virus (WNV), and larvaciding activities to prevent mosquitoes from becoming biting adults.
Public Health Threat Actions
If sufficient information indicates a significant public health threat to Nashua, there is a permit in place to conduct emergency spraying and public notices will be posted. Please refer to the
Prevention Tips for Mosquitos (PDF) document for more information and for New Hampshire locations where positive samples have been collected. Call 603-589-4530 with any questions or concerns.
