Inspections & Code Enforcement

The Nashua Fire Marshal’s Office is responsible to review all plans and inspect all work to see that it conforms to several building and life safety codes.

The City of Nashua’s Building Safety Department should be contacted in conjunction with the Fire Marshal’s office for the applicable codes at the time of application.

The City of Nashua is currently utilizing the State Building & Fire Code as the standard which references NFPA 101 Life Safety Code 2015 Edition, NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code 2015 Edition, NFPA 13 Sprinkler Code 2013 Edition and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Code 2013 Edition.

The Fire Marshal’s Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Individuals requesting inspections should give at least 24 hours notice to the division.

Food Truck/Trailer Inspections

All food trucks or trailers operating within Nashua City limits now require an annual fire safety inspection along with the Health Dept. inspection.

Place of Assembly Inspections

Place of Assembly Permits are issued after meeting the inspection requirements on the following checklist.
