The Nashua Fire Marshal's Office is responsible to review all plans and inspect work to see that it conforms to all relative building and Life Safety codes. The City of Nashua is currently utilizing the NH State Fire Code as the standard which references NFPA 101 Life Safety Code 2018 Edition, NFPA 1 Uniform Fire Code 2018 Edition, NFPA 13 Sprinkler Code 2016 Edition and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm Code 2016 Edition.
The Fire Marshal's Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00 pm. This division is also tasked with fire investigation, fire and life safety inspection services, fire plan review, public education and injury prevention programs.
At this time, we have resumed normal operations. This will be adjusted as needed if the county returns to pandemic precautions. Please allow ample time during scheduling because of the increased volume of requests.

The Nashua Fire Rescue's ultimate goal is to reduce the incidents of fire therefore reducing the damage and injuries that result. When fires do occur and the cause needs to be determined, the Fire Marshal's Office handles those investigations. All Fire Investigators are certified and receive extensive training in fire scene investigation. Fire scene investigations take a great deal of time and our Fire Investigators work in conjunction with the Nashua Police Department in building cases where criminal prosecution is sought.
