Responsibilities
The Street Department, located at 9 Stadium Drive, is dedicated to improving and maintaining City Streets. The department employees perform such projects as:
- Building and widening roads
- Constructing curbs
- Gutters
- Improving drainage
- Sidewalks
- Stabilizing slopes
- Traffic signals, signs and striping
Seasonal Maintenance
The Street Department also works to keep Nashua's streets safer by removing snow and controlling ice during inclement winter weather, repairing potholes, and sweeping streets in the warmer seasons. The Street Department is under the umbrella of the Division of Public Works.
