Responsibilities


The Division of Public Works, Solid Waste Department provides safe and efficient services for residents and businesses of Nashua in the areas of recycling, solid waste, and hazardous waste, through:
  • Collection of most residential trash, recycling, seasonal soft yard wastes, and special collections.
  • Operation of the Four Hills Landfill/ Nashua Recycling Center.
  • Drop-off events at the household hazardous waste/ small quantity generator waste collection center.
The Solid Waste Department operates under the auspices of Chapter 270 of the Nashua Revised Statutes and the rules and regulations of the Board of Public Works.

Landfill Hours


Monday - Friday
8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Scale Shuts Off at 3:30 p.m.
Scale House Closes at 3:45 p.m.

Saturday
8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Scale Shuts Off at 12:30 p.m.
Scale House Closes at 12:45 p.m.

Note: The 4 Hills Landfill office is closed on Saturdays.
