Southwest Trails
The trails will connect to the existing trail network in the Maplewood (Cherrywood Drive) residential neighborhood and to Sheffield, Conant and Ridge Roads. The project includes existing trail improvements, new trails in the conservation lands, 2500 lineal feet of 8 foot wide paved bike/pedestrian path along Groton Road and a new parking area at Old Ridge Road. The natural trails will provide an educational opportunity as they pass through a variety of terrain with interesting wetlands, plants and wildlife. The Conservation Commission anticipates completion of the project in the fall of 2015. You may view a map of the proposed project (PDF).
