On Monday, August 24, 2020 Nashua Transit System launched a pilot program of future bus service with Phase 3 of the return to service plan.

About the Pilot

The pilot program is a way to test out a new set of bus routes and schedules before making long-term changes to the bus system. NTS has developed this pilot in conjunction with Phase 3 of our return to service plan. 

Nashua Transit System has taken a comprehensive review of the entire transit system and has redesigned bus service with efficiency in mind to include additional locations and increased frequency of service to better meet the needs of Nashua’s citizens. The result is a pilot program of what NTS envisions as their future service model. Rider benefits will include expanded service areas, increased frequency of service to popular destinations, and increased Saturday service.

Service Hours

DAYTIME SERVICE:
Monday - Friday
6:00 am - 6:50 pm
*Saturdays9:00 am - 5:50 pm

*Note Rts. 3 & 5 do not run on Saturdays.

NIGHT SERVICE:
Monday - Friday
6:45 pm - 10:35 pm
Saturdays5:45 pm - 10:35 pm


Fares

To limit driver-passenger interactions, we are currently accepting the following fares only, until further notice:

  • Exact Cash
  • Monthly Passes
  • Single-ride tickets
  • Token Transit (Touch-free Mobile Bus Fare App)
  • Senior Citizen ID Cards
  • Honored Citizen ID Cards
  • Student IDs (NCC & Rivier)

Please note: To limit driver/passenger interaction and maintain a safe distance, drivers will NOT punch ride cards or day passes until further notice. Partially used ride cards can be exchanged at the Transit Center. In place of ride cards, NTS will now offer ride ticket packages which can also be purchased at the Transit Center during regular hours.
