Inclement Weather

During inclement weather, NTS fixed route bus and demand response services may be modified as local road conditions deteriorate. For fixed route bus service, depending on the severity of the road conditions, NTS may operate under a Snow Stage 1 or Snow Stage 2 map. These Snow Stage maps redirect buses from roads that don't receive regular snow plowing or steep inclines to safer alternatives. Snow Stage maps and additional information can be found below.

If snow accumulates to unsafe levels or road conditions are impassable, Nashua Transit System will suspend or cancel ALL service until it is safe to resume.

Suspended Service

When service is suspended, buses will remain parked at the safest location possible. Passengers can remain on the bus so long as it is safe to do so until service can be resumed. Nashua Transit System has worked with local jurisdictions to identify bus routes that need to be plowed to maintain bus service to as many communities as possible. Suspended service updates will be provided through the City of Nashua's Notify Me service and the Nashua Transit System website.

Cancellations

If forecasted or current conditions are so severe making it unsafe for NTS to operate, service may be canceled. NTS will make every effort possible to inform riders, and will give as much advanced notice as possible to allow passengers to make alternate plans. NTS will NEVER leave passengers stranded.

When fixed route bus service is canceled, demand response vans may be used to aid stranded passengers when it is safe to do so. If service has been canceled, passengers should call 603-880-0100 for more information.

Demand response services will remain open ONLY to bring home passengers whom have already been dropped off and would otherwise be stranded.

Cancellations will be communicated through the City of Nashua Notify Me service and the Nashua Transit System website.
