NH Small Business Development Center
The New Hampshire Small Business Development Center (NHSBDC) understands that small businesses are vital to our state’s economic health. Its staff provides free, professional, one-on-one business management advice and educational programs to new and existing businesses. The NHSBDC Nashua Office located at Nashua Community College is ready to help you. Check out the NHSBDC website for great on-line courses on how to start a business and other helpful topics.
SCORE-Merrimack Valley NH
For more than 50 years, the Service Corps of Retired Executives has been dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground and achieve their goals through education and mentorship.
SCORE mentors are ready to share their business knowledge with you–how to plan, how to market, what pitfalls to avoid and how to maximize your success–all for free. SCORE also offers small business workshops and online business planning tools.
Small Business Administration (SBA)
The Small Business Administration helps Americans start, build and grow businesses. Through an extensive network of field offices and partnerships with public and private organizations, SBA delivers its services to people throughout the United States. The New Hampshire Regional Office offers a wealth of on-line resources for businesses and entrepreneurs, training seminars and loans through local banking partners.
NH International Trade Resource Center
Need help Affiliated with the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development, the Office of International Commerce is charged with planning, developing and administering programs for international trade promotion and foreign market development, and with coordinating other public and private organizations involved in concurrent efforts.
New Hampshire Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP)
Interested in selling to the Federal Government? PTAP is a cooperative program of the Division of Economic Development and the US Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency, providing specialized assistance for contracting and subcontracting opportunities with Department of Defense, other federal agencies and state and local governments.
Nashua Public Library
Visit the Nashua Public Library for help with market research and other aspects of starting your business. You can
- search library databases to compile prospect lists
- check out books on entrepreneurship
- log onto a public computer or bring your own and use the wifi
- develop contacts by joining the Toastmasters, Southern NH Apple Core, and other professional groups that meet at the library
The Center for Women & Enterprise
The Center for Women & Enterprise (CWE) is a nonprofit organization which offers a variety of different programs and services to help women entrepreneurs, regardless of economic status. They are dedicated to helping women gain the proper confidence and competence to start their business. Check out the CWE Website for resources and information.
Great American Downtown
Great American Downtown (GAD) is a nonprofit that helps organize, develop, and implement programs and events to uplift Downtown Nashua. Their goal is to collaborate and create partnerships that unify the Nashua community around a common vision for a downtown that reflects the character of Nashua. GAD is a resource that can help uplift your downtown business through promotion and inclusion within the various events they host.
