Mayor Lozeau attended an Arbor Day celebration at Main Dunstable Elementary School. Nashua is a Tree City USA and proudly planted a beautiful Magnolia tree to be enjoyed by students, parents, faculty and neighbors for years to come! Each student received a tree sapling of their own for planting.

Pheasant Lane Mall recently completed a $12 million renovation project that took just over a year to complete. A week-end long celebration was kicked off with Mayor Lozeau cutting the ribbon at the Grand Reopening Ceremony. If you haven’t been to the mall recently, you’re in for a pleasant surprise, it is modern and beautiful. You are sure to enjoy your shopping experience at the Pheasant Lane Mall in Nashua!

Mayor Lozeau had the honor of cutting the ceremonial ribbon at the Grand Opening of the first Independent Charles Schwab Branch Services. Owner and Branch Leader, Mary C. Murphy, is an award winning financial advisor, former teacher and was unanimously selected by Charles Schwab Corporation from 1,600 candidates to open the first franchise branch in the United States! The office is located at 2 Cellu Drive in Nashua.

Proceeds of the early morning fundraiser help fund programs for the Salvation Army such as the Santa Fund, Emergency Disaster Services team, send a child to camp and more. The grant has helped to fund the installation of a new LULA elevator at the Hunt Building. Nashua High School South Music Department presented the Annual SANTA FUND CONCERT. Led by Directors Sophia Santerre and Anthony Courounis, Jr. and Accompanist Molly Wood, the audience, including Mayor Lozeau, enjoyed a festive holiday program with performances by the Freshman Choir, Chorale, Concert Choir and Band. The final number was a beautiful collaboration of all four groups as well as many alumni and staff. Great show!

B Battery 197th Field Artillery Freedom Salute Ceremony at Nashua Community College. Captain Heath Huffman presented Mayor Lozeau with their Unit Coin; an award for excellence. The Coin is a symbol of appreciation for the high level of support that she, as well as the Nashua community delivered to the Unit, individual soldiers and their families. Upon their recent return home from a year long deployment to Kuwait, Mayor Lozeau presented Nashua soldiers of the 197th Field Artillery with their name plaques that had been displayed in the Veteran’s sign in front of City Hall. Thank you for your service!

Mayor Lozeau joined Nashua’s 7th grade Middle School students for a matinee performance of “A Christmas Carol” by Gerald Charles Dickens at the Keefe Memorial Auditorium. Gerald is the great-great-grandson of renown author Charles Dickens. Great show!

Birch is located at 154 Amherst Street, Nashua and features things for the home, heart and soul. NCC Business Solutions relocated to 154 Amherst Street above the new shop and is thriving in their new location.

Mayor Lozeau and Superintendent Mark Conrad were presented with a check by the Class of 2011 Leadership Greater Nashua graduates in the amount of $60,000 for improvements to the Edmund Keefe Auditorium.
The proceeds raised were from a benefit concert by the Indigo Girls held on October 22, 2011. Sponsored by the Greater Nashua Arts Initiative, a group of area young professionals, all graduates of the Nashua Chamber’s Leadership Greater Nashua program, their mission is to support and strengthen the Arts in the Gate City.

Friday, November 11, 2011 - Veteran’s Day Parade
Mayor Lozeau walked in the annual Veteran’s Day Parade from Historic Holman Stadium, down Main Street, past City Hall to Elm Street Middle School. This year the Mayor was accompanied by local scouts; Peter Martin, Justin Stoffolano, Sofia Fahsi and Ashley Capillo who passed out candy and American flags to the many patriotic spectators lining the streets.
