Solid Waste Department

The Division of Public Works, Solid Waste Department provides safe and efficient services for residents and businesses of Nashua in the areas of recycling, solid waste, and hazardous waste, through:
• Collection of most residential trash, recycling, seasonal soft yard wastes, and special collections.
• Operation of the Four Hills Landfill/ Nashua Recycling Center.
• Drop-off events at the household hazardous waste/ small quantity generator waste collection center.
The Solid Waste Department operates under the auspices of Chapter 270 of the Nashua Revised Statutes and the rules and regulations of the Board of Public Works.

Landfill Hours

  • Monday - Friday:  8 am to 4 pm
  •      SCALE CLOSES at 3:45 pm
  • Saturday:  8am to 1pm
  •      SCALE CLOSES at 12:45 pm
