Residential Property Owners are allowed to bring asbestos from their home to the Landfill for disposal, BUT first:

• must submit an application (available at the Solid Waste Department office),
• comply with packaging and labeling regulations,
• call the Solid Waste Department at least 24 hours before arrival,
• deliver the ACM before noon, Monday through Friday, and
• pay the disposal fee of $200/ton 
• Residents must have a valid Landfill Permit. 
   

Non-Residential Property Owners must comply with the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants by:

• hiring a certified asbestos abatement firm to remove the asbestos
• completing a “Waste Shipment Record”
• notifying the Solid Waste Department at least 24 hours before arrival,
• deliver the ACM before noon, Monday through Friday; and
• paying the tipping fee of $200 / ton.
