Programs/Outreach


Mobile Van Outreach
To provide barrier free, off-site access to community residents seeking: adult and childhood immunizations; blood pressure screening; HIV, TB, syphilis and hepatitis information and screening; referrals for shelter, food or medical care; and drug and alcohol information/referral to facilitate entry into chemical treatment programs.

Funding for services is provided in whole or in part through the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health.

Health Education
Fulfilling its responsibilities of preventing disease and promoting health/wellness in the community, the Department provides health education to individuals, groups, service organizations, industries and schools focusing on the health issues pertinent to each group.

Lead Program
The objectives of the program are to lower blood lead levels in children reported with elevated lead levels and to prevent lead poisoning. Follow up activities to referrals include education and home visits with a specialist from the Environmental Health Department.

Nurse On Call
A Nashua Community Health Department nurse is available to answer questions from the public, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please call 589-4500.
