The Nashua Office of Child Care Services is the community advocate for child care issues and is responsible for identifying the needs for and promoting the development of affordable quality child care in the Nashua area. The office supports parents seeking child care, potential and existing family or center-based child care providers and local employers in need of technical assistance regarding child care issues.

What We do...

For Parents

  • Information and referral about child care options in person or by the phone, at no cost
  • Tip sheets and booklets on how to choose child care
  • Information about financial assistance for child care
  • Community referrals for child-related concerns

For the Community

  •  Statistical data on rates, turnovers, salaries, industry trends 
  • Consultation on employers about work and family issues 
  • Advocacy for child-related issues relative to the region 
  • Child care services available in two separate locations

 

For the Provider 

  • Pre-Licensing Package with follow-up support
  • Bi-monthly newsletters on upcoming events
  • Membership in Nashua Early Childhood Care and Education Network
  • Updates on activities of the Bureau of Child Care Licensing and the Child Development Bureau
  • Connections to state and regional professional resources

Funding for this project is provided by the City of Nashua, Health and Community Services Division and the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Offices of Family Services, Children, Youth and Families with funds provided in part or in whole by the State of New Hampshire and the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
