All open competitive positions are posted through Human Resources with the exceptions of the School Department, Library and sworn officers of the Police Department 

Vacancies are posted internally in accordance to relevant collective bargaining language and/or City policy. If appropriate the position may be posted externally, on our web page, with the NH Employment Security and through other mediums as deemed necessary.

Medical examinations, drug tests, background investigations and criminal record checks may be required depending on the position.

Each posting will indicate a closing date and all jobs close at 5:00 PM. Resumes/applications will not be accepted after the posting has closed.
