The Community Development Division's responsibility is to guide the City of Nashua and its citizens in the pursuit of a clear vision for its future and to provide the framework and mechanisms for the City and the private sector to implement that vision.

The Community Development Division's Departments:

Planning Department provides regulatory framework and leadership to guide the City in the process and maintenance of its vision and support of its respective boards and commissions.

Urban Programs Department provides resources to improve living conditions and access to jobs and services especially for lower income individuals, families and neighborhoods.

Code Enforcement Department assures compliance with city housing and zoning ordinances.

Building Safety Department accepts permit applications for review and approval of construction and conducts inspections on permitted work.

Transportation Department manages, coordinates, promotes and develops transportation resources in the community.
