The Building Safety Department accepts permit applications for review and approval of construction documents including building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plans. The Department is responsible for conducting inspections on permitted work.

Effective April 26, 2011 , the City of Nashua adopted Bill Number 0-11-64. this amends the building construction ordinances to adopt the 2009 International Existing Building Code as the Existing Building Code for the City of Nashua. To view the entire bill, click here.
Effective April 1, 2010, the State of NH adopted with amendments, the 2009 International Building Code, International Residential Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code, International Energy Conservation Code, and on July 1, 2010 the 2011 National Electric Code.
