About Us
We’ve been giving rides to the public since the Nashua Horse Drawn Railroad was started in 1886 (fares were a nickel then).
Today, Nashua Transit System buses and vans travel 1,870 miles a day on routes that cover the city. Last year our ridership was 445,087 passengers.
- Citybus is our daytime fixed route service, running on seven different routes.
- After 7 is our evening service, running on three routes.
- City Lift is our paratransit and senior citizen service, running on the same routes as Citybus and also offering additional service areas.
All routes begin and end at the Transit Center, located on Elm Street behind City Hall. And all NTS buses and trolleys are equipped with bike racks.
